When Orders Go Up, Why Do Food Factories Panic Instead of Celebrate?
Alyssa/ November 11,2025 Return
Every peak season, many food factories feel nervous instead of excited. The problem isn’t the orders. The problem is they can’t produce fast enough.
The main reason: not enough workers and the packing line is too slow.
Hand packing looks simple, but it’s slow, tiring, and easy to make mistakes. One person can only pack a few hundred boxes per hour. But during peak season, orders can reach tens of thousands per day. It’s impossible to keep up.
One snack factory we worked with had the same problem. They used to have 12 workers packing boxes every day, working until late at night. After they switched to an automatic cartoning machine from UBL Packaging., one machine could do the work of 8–10 skilled workers. The pace became steady, mistakes dropped, and workers didn’t feel exhausted anymore.

Peak season became normal season. No more panic.
If your packing line is often the slowest step, maybe it’s time to change something.
