Yuyao Jilida is a factory that makes snack foods. It mainly produces small-packaged snacks like preserved fruits and nuts. Before, when it came to packing products into boxes, the factory relied mostly on manual work.
 
Workers had to first open up the paper boxes, then put the small-packaged snacks inside, and finally seal the boxes. They did this thousands of times a day—it was really tiring, and the speed wasn’t steady. When the busy seasons came, the factory also had to hire a lot of temporary workers, which made labor costs very high.
 
To make things more efficient, the factory decided to use automatic packaging equipment. We designed an automatic packaging line for them that can open boxes, pack products into boxes, and seal boxes all by itself.

In one of our flagship projects in the food packaging sector, UBL successfully deployed a fully customized automated cartoning line for Walmart’s ice cream product range. The system begins by sorting individual ice cream units, after which a smart robotic arm groups them into sets of four according to Walmart’s packaging requirements. The products are then precisely placed onto the infeed of the cartoning machine. From there, the machine automatically pushes the grouped ice cream products into pre-folded cartons and completes the sealing process in a single, continuous operation.

This fully automated line standardizes and streamlines every step of the ice cream cartoning process.
